Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We’re here to help with information and answers about our services.

An NDIS Positive Support Behaviour Plan (PSBP) is a document developed to improve an individual’s quality of life. It’s created using a person-centred, strengths-based approach, focusing on goals, strengths, wants, and needs while addressing challenging behaviours.

Only behaviour support practitioners registered with the NDIS can write behaviour support plans for individuals within the NDIS scheme. This rule stands regardless of your experience and qualifications as a practitioner.

A positive behaviour support plan should contain four elements: strategies that build on the individual’s strengths, strategies that reduce challenging behaviours, positive strategies to use before using restrictive practices, and the identification of regulated restrictive practices.

The main benefit of being an NDIS behaviour support practitioner is the large client base. Unlike an unregistered practitioner who can only work with self-managed, an NDIS practitioner can work with anyone participating in the scheme.

Yes. Specialist Behaviour courses and training comply with NDIS standards and guidelines. Also, our educators have years of experience practising within the scheme, which further informs our teaching.
