Panel Members:

Dr. Brent Hayward is the Principal Behaviour Support Advisor for the Victorian Department of Education. He is a public sector leader, clinical practitioner, and researcher in disability, health, and education. He also has a research position in the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne.

Dr. Tom Brunzell is the Director of Education at Berry Street and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne Graduate School of Education. He presents internationally on topics of transforming school culture, student engagement, trauma aware practice, wellbeing and positive psychology, and effective school leadership.

Dr. Erin Leif is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Educational Psychology and Counselling, Faculty of Education at Monash University. Her current research focuses on Positive behaviour support, multi-tiered systems of support, trauma-informed behaviour support, and ways to uphold human rights in behaviour-support services.

Jenn Colechin (facilitator) is the Director of Specialist Behaviour and a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst with over 24 years of experience in trauma-informed positive behaviour support.

Meet your presenter

Jenn Colechin (she/ her)

BCBA, Developmental Educator MEd (ABA), MHS (Dis Studs), BEd, BA, SpecCertCrim (Forensic Dis)

Jenn Colechin is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner, and highly skilled facilitator with over 24 years of experience in complex positive behaviour support.

Jenn’s clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based behavioural science and trauma-informed principles, and she has worked within schools, community, out-of-home care, and family-based settings. She has lived experience as a trauma-affected child and experience being both a kinship carer and a permanent carer.
