Developing Professional Opinion in PBS Practitioners
This course is designed to build the confidence, critical thinking, and professional judgment of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioners. Developing a professional opinion goes beyond compliance—it requires the ability to analyse complex information, apply evidence-based frameworks, and communicate decisions with clarity and authority.
By attending this course practitioners will be able to:
- Understand the role of professional opinion contextual to their role.
- Critically reflect on biases, assumptions, and ethical dilemmas that shape professional judgment.
- Communicate professional opinions effectively in written plans, reports, and team discussions.
- Demonstrate accountability by linking professional opinions to legislation, the NDIS Capability Framework, and PBS best practice.
